Alan has been actively involved in the leather and BDSM community for over 15 years. Alan is currently the owner and executive producer of the Southeast Rubber Weekend and Mr. Southeast Rubber Contest. He is a full member of Panther L/L, Inc, Vice President of Atlanta S/M Solidarity, member of the Atlanta Gay Men’s Chapter of MAsT, founding member of the Hotlanta Rubber Group, supporting member of the Leather Archives and Museum, and an associate member of the Conductors L/L, Inc.
Alan is the chairman of Spring in the South (SITS) 2010, an S/M educational weekend held in Atlanta each April. He is the coordinator of the Atlanta S/M Solidarity SM101 classes and facilitates BDSM classes specializing in clips/clamps, cbt, hot wax play, and SM safety. Alan is currently developing an interactive course on discovering one’s personal strengths to deepen and sustain a meaningful Dom/sub relationship. In addition to his local club memberships and affiliations, Alan’s community service activities include having raised over $40,000 for local community-based organizations and charities since 2003, serving as a member at-large on the Ryan White Atlanta Community Planning Council, teaching HIV prevention education workshops, serving food at the Clifton Road Men’s Night Shelter, and sorting food at the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
Alan currently works in the field of public health education specializing in adolescent health. He has dedicated the past decade of his personal and professional life to increasing awareness of critical health and safety issues affecting gay men, particularly within the leather community, as well as reducing health risk behaviors among young men who have sex with men. Alan has been involved in a Dom/sub relationship with his boy (pup nitro) for nearly three years. He enjoys hanging out with his club brothers and sisters, reading, and lifting weights at the gym. Alan and his boy can usually be found on the weekends wearing a snug pair of black leather chaps or slicked-up in rubber gear at the Atlanta Eagle.
