Ed Sparan

Like P.T. Barnum Ed was born in Bridgeport Ct. and immediately gravitated to New York for a career in theatre. There in the 1980s he learn early on a sense of community at the forefront of the AIDS epidemic, His Theatre work drew him to San Francisco in 1990 where he discovered a leather community beyond the sexuality and into a brotherhood of honor and respect.

He competed in Mr. San Francisco Leather and found his calling producing many leather events. Family matters brought him to Florida in 1993 introducing himself to our community winning the titles of Mr. Space Coast Leather 1993 and Central Florida Drummer 1994. He went on for many years producing many contests including the first Ms. Florida Leather and numerous fund raising events. After a brief hiatus Ed has come back to the Leather community with New eyes, literally ,and a new outlook on life.
